The Risso is a finesse hard bait designed to respond to delicate rod work. Its true potential is unlocked by the angler's technical skill.
When you lightly pull the line and release the tension, it generates a darting action accompanied by a unique gliding momentum—a momentary, floating pause. Even when making the lure dart sharply with twitches to instantly trigger a bass, being conscious of this glide will dramatically increase your strike rate. Furthermore, on a slow retrieve, it functions as a straight-tracking "I-motion" bait, seamlessly shifting into a rolling action as you slightly increase the retrieve speed. By varying the intensity of your rod work and retrieve, you can intentionally control and switch between these actions.
The Risso is highly versatile, allowing you to match your presentation to the specific situation and available forage.
